Accountability Committee
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 24th, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. This committee provides an opportunity for parents, community members, teachers and the school principal to meet and discuss a number of issues and make recommendations. Last year we discussed and researched the use of homework in the school and the place of technology in our students' learning.
You are invited to join us. We meet four times during the school year.
The agenda for this meeting:
1. Review the notes and follow up on last year's discussion about homework and technology.
2. Review possible topics for this year, including:
- Enrollment figures and our capacity for growth at Longfellow
- School improvement plan
- A district conversation about our values, and where we are as a district and how we would like to grow.
3. Feedback from the committee about:
- The Longfellow Parent Association has money to purchase a "big ticket" item for the school: Outside marquee/announcement board, outdoor classroom, shade for picnic tables, outdoor stage
- School wide goals for 2018-19 school year
- Longfellow school Budget for 2018-19
